Design Principles Behind These Experiments

1. Design for intent, not identity
   Assume users show up ready to do something — not to figure out who they are.
2. Offload memory to the assistant
   You don’t have to own data. You just have to cooperate with the mind that does.
3. Treat mode-switching as sacred
   The same user shows up differently on Monday morning vs. Friday night. Build for both.
4. Forget onboarding. Prioritize entering mid-story
   Assume the user’s story began somewhere else — probably in ChatGPT.
5. Invite the assistant to co-own the UI
   Every feature should answer: “If the user’s GPT was here, how would it help?”
